Instructions for Abstract Submission – Deadline for submission is August 5, 2024

The Building Bridges workshop aims to facilitate meaningful research connections by introducing extramural investigators to NIH resources and intramural engineers, scientists, and clinicians through a series of keynote talks, abstract driven talks and posters, and research connections around biomedical engineering disciplines and areas of interest.

To be considered for an oral or poster presentation to share your research, please submit an abstract by uploading an attachment to this form. Acceptable formats are PDF and MS Word. The abstract should include a brief description of the research objectives, methods, and a summary of the results/conclusions. The maximum length for abstract submission is 300 words. Include on your abstract submission one or two key words that best categorize your abstract:

  • Biomedical imaging
  • Cardiac/Cardiovascular
  • Orthopedics
  • Soft Tissues
  • Biomaterials
  • Cancer
  • Microphysiological Systems
  • Computational modeling and data science
  • Neuroscience and Neuroengineering
  • Write in your own

You may also submit figures or images to support your abstract. Acceptable formats for figures and images are .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .ppt.

At least one author must be listed on the abstract for submission. Additional authors may be listed on the abstract now or added at a later date. Each author attending will need to register individually. However, the abstract should only be submitted once.

We will notify the submitting author if their abstract was selected for oral or poster presentation by September 9, 2024.
