Biography

Tran Ngo completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomaterials at the University of Florida. In 2020, Tran joined the Section on Immunoengineering as a Post-Baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) fellow. She is interested in understanding the immune response to implants and transplants. Tran will start her M.D./Ph.D. training at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Fall 2022 to become a physician-scientist. She aims to combine her medical training and research experience to understand health disparities and mechanisms of immune response to treatments as well as using biomedical engineering technology to optimize immunotherapy.
