Khalil Chughtai holds a B.S. in Bioengineering and an M.S. in Data Analytics Engineering. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on methods to differentiate between aggressive and non-aggressive cancer cells. Additionally, he led efforts to fully engineer, manufacture, and assemble ASPID, a device that increases sustainability by sorting between reusable and non-reusable medical instruments. In graduate school, he led efforts to create an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Algorithm of Graph Networks to detect fraudulent and irregular activity. Khalil has experience in data management and visualization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics allowing him to bridge complex data-driven insights with practical applications.
Khalil joined the Division of Interdisciplinary Training in 2021 as a Scientific Program Analyst. Among other duties that promote the goals of the division, he manages the R13 process for NIBIB, which provides support for investigator-initiated conferences and meetings that advance the vision of this institute center.
